I do hope we can work it all out.\u00a0 In the meantime we have a request for one of Pilfered’s Guest Editors – you.<\/p>\n
You see, both of us love<\/em> your work.\u00a0 What a Filmography you have?\u00a0 According to IMDb, 55 projects and another 48 appearances as yourself!\u00a0 Seriously, wow!\u00a0 What we are thinking is that we would just like to copy say 5 or 6 of your films without paying you.\u00a0 Jack and I have been fighting about which ones so it could be as many as 12. \u00a0 Anyhow, we have this problem and we need your help.
\nNow we do know that at the beginning of these movies there’s that FBI statement about copying, big fines and something about the Copyright Law, Title 17.\u00a0 We also know that the producers, directors, other actors, lawyers and all the “little people” in craft services and so on might not want to give us permission to copy the movies for free.\u00a0 They are so yesterday!\u00a0 But we assume that since you were working on Pilfered, you would have no problem letting us rip you off without paying.\u00a0 Jack insisted that we ask you as a “courtesy”.\u00a0 He is such a wimp, even thinking about courtesy<\/em>.\u00a0 I said it wouldn’t be necessary since you were apparently “editing” copyrighted works obtained without the creator’s permission for a publication celebrating copyright thievery anyway.\u00a0 How could you possibly object when it came to your work?\u00a0 Jack is much taller than me so I backed off.<\/p>\nSo here’s the deal, give us the OK to steal your stuff for free and then we will get the consent of all the other people who worked on your films to do likewise. \u00a0 Think they will give it?\u00a0 True its tougher for a movie or TV show because you have so many so called “creative people” to worry about.\u00a0 When a photograph is ripped off at worst<\/em>, you only have to deal with a single photographer and maybe a model. Besides, photographers never have “staff copyright lawyers”, so what’s the worry?.<\/p>\nDo you know if Pilfered used a form letter to get consents for use of copyrighted materials from their creators?\u00a0 If you can see your way clear to give us your consent and<\/em> pilfer one of the “Pilfered” forms that we can use to crib off, that would be awesome.\u00a0 Photographers and actors are artists, and we artists have just got to stick together.
\nOne more question please – when your films that are currently in production come to my local theater, will there be a charge to see them?<\/p>\nLooking forward to hearing from you real soon.<\/p>\n
