We’re back at it again. Another Copyright Zone webinar on the X-Rite website. We guess they’ll try and color correct our “blue in the face” photo. This one should be interesting as we’ll have the ability to do Q&A. We’ll be taking your questions and doing our best to figure out answers.
Sign up at the following link and catch it next week on Wednesday Oct 14 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM EDT. http://bit.ly/1jdVCeh

Thank you for another excellent webinar on copyright. This is probably a silly question but sometimes I shoot bracketed frames to combine into HDR processing. Should I register all of them or just the post-processed image? Thanks!

Hey Vivian, Either way works. I would do all the bracketed files, simply because it’s faster than waiting for me to do the HDRs. The HDR, or color corrections, or cropping, or whatever is still covered if I just register everything.

Thanks, Jack – and also, thank you for the statement, “Don’t let the tail wag the dog.” I needed to hear that. I’m old school and believe in the principle of not taking what doesn’t belong to you so infringement is a bitter pill to swallow.

Any chance you two might make the text of the contract in Chapter 4 of your 2nd Ed. book available electronically? I’ll type in the text if I must, but wonder if I have missed a way to download just the contract text.
Thanks.

Hey John, we went over what to do with the wedding contract. We think there is so much that really needs to be customized for each individual, with some states having specific laws covering wedding photographers, best to provide this template, and have everyone consult with a local lawyer to come up with a contract specific to your business. If this was a simple download, people would just use it and wouldn’t check their state laws, which could work against them. We think this template gives you the best information to cover your bases to create your own paperwork.
